made a special place for themselves, one such name is that of fashion
designer Valentino. This Rome fashion designer Valentino has
been a steady designer who has climbed each ladder towards success. Fashion
designer Valentino's biography can be very inspiring for budding
designers. He started off his career through establishing a fashion
studio in Rome in the year 1959. His recognition journey picked up in
1962 with the launching of his maiden haute couture collection in the
international fashion extravaganza 'Gotha'. His work earned lot of
appreciation and in fact he also received the Neiman Marcus Prize, which
is equally prestigious as Oscars.
His collection labeled 'Collezione Bianca' was a major hit. He also
designed the bridal attire of Jacqueline Kennedy. Later in 1969, he
launched his first designer boutique in Milan. After a couple of years
he made a step further by launching a fashion show to exhibit his prêt
(ready to wear) ensemble. Not only Valentino is known for his exquisite
variety in clothes but also for perfume named after him which came into
the market in 1978.
In 1982 a book entitled "Valentino" with Franco Maria as its

career, Minister for Industry presented him the official award. Apart
from being a fashion savvy, he is also actively involved in social
activities. In 1990, Valentino and Giancarlo Giammetti established an
association to bring about awareness regarding AIDS and through this he
attempted to make an incredible contribution in preventing AIDS. He is
truly a multifaceted personality.
